Question: Is there ever going to be a way for someone else to choose what sorts of genes we have?

    Hello climberlilxx, thank you for having a go at answer some of my science questions and also a very big thank you for asking me. 🙂
    What you are referring to is called genetic engineering. Scientist are already working choosing genes for things like food, so wheat and fuit and veg.
    When it comes to human genes, Scientist are looking into changes genes for sick people to make them better and healthier. But there is a problem! Some scientist and people have this crazy idea of giving people genes to make them faster, smarter, better almost superhuman. I don’t think that is ok!!! 🙁
    If we let people change our genes, well, we won’t be who we are today! Some people will be made stronger and others a lot weaker. This would throw the community and people out of balance.
    I’m quite happy for genetic engineering to cure disease, but not happy with the SUPERHUMAN idea!

    I think it’s mean for them to create some SUPERHUMANS and some really weak humans 🙁
    I think it is good to have things that can cure illness’s though
