My bacteria that I work with I call my pets! I don’t do science on animals and pets! I think that would break my heart if I had to hurt animals. :'(
Instead I just call my 220 bacteria that i have my pets! Wow! I have 220 pets 😀
Jacob, I knew this question would be yours before I even opened it haha!
If you mean do I use animals in my experiments, then the answer is no. I only work with bacteria and viruses.
If you mean do I keep a pet around in the lab, then the answer is mostly no. Although, we had to hatch and grow chickens in our lab a while ago because a girl in our lab needed their eggs for an experiment!
No real pets in the lab, (not a nice place for animals, lots of chemicals, and I don’t think a puppy could fit in a labcoat!) but one of my friends is VERY good at origami and made us little paper pets to keep us company.

Hey Jacob!
No real pets in the lab, (not a nice place for animals, lots of chemicals, and I don’t think a puppy could fit in a labcoat!) but one of my friends is VERY good at origami and made us little paper pets to keep us company.
