Zaver2 thank you for asking 🙂 A superbug is a bacteria that we cannot kill with any antibiotics! Patients in the hospital that get a superbug infection are very difficult to treat because the antibiotics that we give the patient just can’t kill this bacteria. It has DNA that makes it fight the antibiotic. Because the bcteria wins the battle against the antibiotic it becomes a superbug and causes problems for the patient. So we say that this bacteria is an Antibiotic resistant organism, or…SUPERBUG!
