Question: what is the best field of science?

  1. Hey booker thanks for the chat today, and thanks for another great question!

I love my field (biochemistry) but I don’t there is any one best field. It all depends on what you are interested in. All fields are as important as one another because they help us to understand different aspects of the universe! I don’t have a big interest in very field, but I respect and try to learn about all of them! Find what you love, go for it, and remember that all other areas of science are just as critical!

  2. Hi booker!

The best field of science… hehe, we have a cricket game every year where the two different groups of chemists play against each other to choose who’s best! It’s the ‘synthetic’ chemists (they build molecules from scratch!) versus the rest of us (including biochemistry, computer, and materials chemistry).

We biochemists always lose, but I think our field is still the best!

We biochemists try to approach problems in an environmentally friendly way, which I think will get more and more important. That said, all science should be respected, even those silly synthetic chemists…
What do you think? : )

  3. Booker the best field in Science is the one that drives your curious mind the most! All fields in Science are important, they are all interesting and challenging in their own way. All fields are there for us to enjoy and explore. I can tell you what fields of Science I didn’t enjoy and that is normal too. Not every scientist loves every field!
I like Microbiology the best because in microbiology I learned about many cool and freaky bacteria, I learn about DNA and Biochemistry, I learn about drugs, bacterial communities. GOSH! you name it! I think Micro is the best field for ME! It drives my mind and my passion.
What do you like the best? Biology? Chemistry? Physics?

  4. There are sooo many to chose from!! I would say for me cell biology. Mainly because I think cells are amazing so small yet so complex.
