  1. Smcle183 thank you for asking! I would love to be a lecturer and science communicator like Dr Karl. He gets to teach students here at the university about physics BUT (and this is the best part!) he gets to go on the radio and TV to tell people that are not scientist about science! So I would love to teach students about microbes and germs and about all the things that they can do! Dr Karl teaches the general public science in fun ways and he also published many fun books for all sorts of ages all about the different fields in science. I think that is a dream science job for me 😀

  2. Hi smcle183!

Dream science job… Where to begin!

I would love to be a lecturer or a science teacher at highschools. Then I’d get to talk to students face-to-face instead of by typing super fast!

I’d also love to be a science show host, like Dara O’Briain with his show ‘Science Club’. He gets to interview amazing scientists, but also meet comedians and be on TV! Perfect balance of silliness and learning. : )

  3. Awesome question smcle183. I only just figured this out a couple of months ago! What I really want to do is grow my website sciengage.com.au. I want it to be one of the biggest and most popular websites in the whole world! This is so that I can help EVERYONE understand science and all of the different things about science, and all of the places they can find it! There are so many people out there trying so hard to get the word out about science. I want to make sure that everyone can find out about them! The world will be a great place if everyone in it appreciates and wants to be involved in science.

  4. Find a cure for cancer – it’s a truly horrible disease and although some can be treated, some types are more difficult to treat, these are the ones we need a cure for.

  5. I think the best thing I could do in science would be to convince the government to put more money into helping scientists stay in science jobs, so that they can still keep doing fun experiments that may help us find new technologies and cures for diseases! At the moment, the Australian govt gives less than other countries as a proportion of the country’s earnings (GDP). They need to increase their investment if they want us scientist to come up with solutions to Australian and Global problems. Otherwise, people will leave science and then we will have less people to help find solutions to the problems that face our country and our world.

We would not have had Wifi in the world if an Oz scientist wasn’t doing a crazy project looking for Aliens!! And look how useful wifi has turned out to be!
